Meet the Principal
Hello, I’m Nikki Ballow, the principal here at McLain Community High School.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., and a Master of Education degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
I served as a science teacher, dean of students and instruction and assistant principal in Fort Worth, Texas before moving to Colorado in 2014. In Colorado, I was an assistant principal at ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch for four years and accepted the principal position in 2018.
In 2022, looking to find a smaller community where I could have a bigger impact, I was honored to be hired as the new principal of McLain Community High School. I love working with the staff to provide students with an alternative path to lives of learning, opportunity and choice.
When not at McLain, I enjoy reading, walking, cooking and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
