Volunteer

A McLain student gesturing towards his drawn on pumpkin.

By volunteering at McLain Community High School, you can shape futures by sharing your wisdom.

McLain believes education extends beyond the classroom walls, and one of the most impactful ways student learning is enriched is through career education. Community members with expertise or insights to share are invited to become a part of this transformative journey.

Guest Speakers

One of the most popular ways to volunteer is by serving as a guest speaker. McLain students are eager to learn about the myriad career paths that await them after high school.

McLain has been fortunate to host speakers from diverse fields, including construction, Hollywood, Jeffco Workforce and culinary arts. Imagine the impact of a professional gamer, firefighter or robotics engineer sharing their experiences. Your wisdom could be the spark that ignites a student’s career passion.

Field Trips

McLain also offers opportunities for volunteers to host students at their places of work. These field trips provide invaluable real-world exposure.

Whether it’s a tour of a store specializing in exotic fish, an active construction site, the Google Campus or a bustling retail business, these experiences offer a tangible sense of what different careers entail. McLain is always on the lookout for new and exciting venues that can offer students a glimpse into potential future careers.

If you’re interested in shaping the next generation of professionals, thinkers, and leaders, McLain High School offers a platform for you to make a significant impact.
