Scholarships & Financial Aid

Travel club group photo

Researching financial aid and scholarship information is a smart financial decision when looking at a postsecondary education.

Accredited institutions of higher education receive Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) funding from the federal government, which ensures schools provide a high-quality education that meets certain standards.

As for scholarships, most institutions have their own scholarships and general scholarship applications. There are numerous websites with which to search for scholarship opportunities, and many local organizations also have scholarships available.

FAFSA

FAFSA for 2024-25 is now open, with some new changes. Students need to provide their parent or guardian financial information until they are 24 years of age. Information is based on the 2022 tax return. Any parent or guardian listed on the 2022 federal tax return will need to create their own FAFSA account so they can approve the application.
