Peak

Peak is for students 16-20 years old. We serve at-risk students who have been unsuccessful in their traditional high school due to personal and/or academic challenges. The alternative schedule has proven favorable for students who may have otherwise dropped out of school.

To ensure student success, the Peak program conducts small class sizes and focuses on student-teacher relationships to support the needs of each student. Peak students are expected to:

  • Be willing to change the habits and behaviors that may have impeded their success in the past.
  • Meet district attendance requirements.
  • Pass all classes with a minimum percentage of 70. Students who do not pass two or more classes may be placed on academic probation.

There are numerous activities that help make Peak special. These activities are a great way for students and staff to interact with each other in a positive, educational environment. Many great bonds are formed through these activities. Activities include:

  • Field day
  • Thanksgiving pie day
  • Movie theater trip
  • Bowling
  • Senior awards
