Mr. Ebendick, Assistant Principal

I was born in Detroit, Michigan.  I was raised in a family of educators, and planned on working in education from a young age.  My mother is a retired Kindergarten teacher, my father is a retired high school social studies teacher, and my sister is currently a Kindergarten teacher in the suburban Detroit area.

I met my wife Michele  at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, and following my graduation we moved for my first teaching job to rural northern California.  The first 5 years of my career in education was focused on improving mathematics performance in rural schools in California and Eastern Colorado.

After a year in Weldona, Colorado, my wife and I moved to the Denver Metro area.  We have called Jefferson County home for the past 6 years. Since being in Jefferson county we have been privileged to raise our son Beck.

I spent the last 3 years as the mathematics teacher for the Adult Learning community at McLain.  Working with the adult population at McLain has been the most rewarding experience I have ever had in education.  I am passionate about ensuring that the adult population in the Denver metro area is given the opportunity to achieve their educational goals.  This passion has provided me with the opportunity to serve the McLain adult community in a new role as a Student Engagement Specialist for McLain Community High School.
